What is Compounded Semaglutide?
Compounded semaglutide is a custom-made medication available through specialized pharmacies. Semaglutide the active ingredient in medications like Ozempic and Wegovy is a synthetic version of a hormone known as GLP-1, which the body releases into the intestine when people eat food. It leads to reduced appetite and slows down stomach emptying, which may contribute to feeling full sooner. It is encouraged that patient combine medication with appropriate diet and exercise

How does Compounded Semaglutide Work?

Where is Compounded Semaglutide Made?

Compounded semaglutide must be made in a sterile environment to prevent contamination. And some states require certain certifications or licensing to provide these services. If the regulatory requirements for compounding semaglutide are met, only pharmacies with the proper equipment, training, and facilities are legally able to make the injections.

Sterile compounding requirements are in place to help protect you from serious problems, like infections. This can happen if you’re exposed to contaminated injections. Getting compounded semaglutide from an unqualified pharmacy can put you at risk.
Simply Lavish Health and Wellness ANP-C Nursing Corp is affiliated with qualified designated compounding pharmacies. These facilities must produce multiple batches and submit them for testing and stability before a new product can be brought to market. This can often lead to longer relative lead times. The products and testing methods must be validated according to US Pharmacopeia (USP). Similarly, all suppliers and vendors providing raw materials must be vetted. On-site inspections must be performed by quality personnel.
Furthermore, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has designated specific compounding pharmacies as those with outsourcing facilities that may manufacture large batches with or without prescriptions to be sold to healthcare facilities for office use only.
These pharmacies are allowed to use larger batches to lower their manufacturing costs, passing the savings onto consumers. The compounding pharmacies that we choose to partner with provide specific medications that are held to higher regulatory standards. These facilities are required to maintain full compliance with current good manufacturing practices (CGMP)
